Who is ahpu for?
ahpu is designed for parents and caregivers of children aged 0–6 with food allergies. It connects public food-safety data to provide allergen-label information, recall and stop-sale notices, and saved-product updates.
Does ahpu tell me a food is safe to serve?
No. ahpu does not determine whether a food is suitable to eat. Review the information alongside the actual packaging. Missing information or the absence of an alert does not mean a product is safe.
What should I look for in a recall notice?
Compare the product name, production date, manufacturer and other affected-product details with the item you have. Read the instructions in the original notice too.
